PROSTARM Emergency Lift Operation Source (PELOS) Lift Inverter is a unique custom-built power source that can be used in any lift, whether it is traction, hydraulic, VVVF, or Regenerative Drives during a mains outage or abnormal grid condition.

The Intelligent charger offers the best PFC >0.98 and isolation is provided with built-in transformer. Change over from Grid / Battery / DG & Solar is in < 3 ms, (milliseconds) without the ARD/ERD recognizing the power outage or transfer from one source to another.

Lift Inverter System also known as Lift back up / Lift UPS system is an off-line UPS capable of delivering uninterrupted power to lifts/elevators & other three-phase heavy duty machines like air conditioning compressors, industrial machinery, etc. Lift inverters play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of these systems. They provide smoother operation, energy efficiency, and better control over lift speed and stopping, significantly enhancing passenger comfort and safety. Compared to diesel-run lifts, inverter-driven lifts are quieter, more environment friendly, and typically have lower operational costs. Inverters are used as emergency backup when there is a power outage. It turns on the electrical appliances when the main supply is off. The function of an inverter is to convert Direct Current (DC) into Alternating Current (AC). DC is the current produced from the battery or solar panel. Inverters are used in industrial as well as home application.

PELOS Lift Inverter is equipped with MODBUS communication protocol for remote monitoring

The real-time status of the system helps the customer as well as the user to verify the performance and status. The System comes with alert system (Optional) to notify the passengers whenever there is a power failure or a low battery condition through the display panel and/or through a voice-over.

Thus, the passenger would have the option to exit at the nearest landing. This will ensure that the passengers are not trapped inside the lift car.

PELOS Lift Inverter is designed for 100% unbalanced load
If the Customer desires, emergency loads such as Lights, CCTV, or any other single phase loads can be handled by PELOS Lift Inverter.

PELOS Lift Inverter provides longer battery backup and life
In the case of Regenerative drive, the back EMF would be fed back into the local grid during Mains mode, and during mains failure, this power will be
utilized to recharge the battery, eliminating the need for a dissipating circuit to burn back EMF completely. This will ensure that the battery delivers
a significantly longer life and runtime as compared to online UPS or asynchronized Inverter system.

PELOS Lift Inverter – Substantial Savings in Energy Consumption

For eg. a 10kW motor demands a 20kVA online UPS, whereas PELOS Lift Inverter can meet that requirement with a 15kW system, offering the customers significant cost benefit over UPS. Online UPS being a double-conversion technology, the power losses at input and output would be significant during the operation. PELOS Lift Inverter operates with 10% less Power loss compared to traditional Online UPS systems. Considering the cost difference between online UPS and PELOS Lift Inverter, coupled with the energy savings, the payback period shall be less than 24 months.

PELOS Lift Inverter has a significantly longer life-cycle

Since online UPS works 24 x 7 x 365, the life-cycle would be significantly low as compared to PELOS Lift Inverter as they would come into operation only when power fails. The power required to keep the internal circuit of PELOS Lift Inverter on would also be negligible as compared to online UPS.
