UPS Systems for Defense
Defense is a highly demanding field for both men and machines. Defense equipment cannot afford to fail in the middle of duty, especially in a combat scenario. UPS systems play a vital role in keeping command, control and communications equipment up and running in ships and in field vehicles. Some defense applications need AC or regulated DC power and protection from spikes and sags. Hence, UPS systems with double conversion mechanism are used widely in defense.
How UPS Systems are Critical for Defense
Industrial UPS systems deployed in defense must be compact, reliable and durable. They operate in harsh conditions where input power is neither clean, nor reliable. UPS systems deployed in the field of combat should be compact, efficient, scalable and low-maintenance. They must meet specific standards set by the military for operating in harsh conditions.
ProstarM provides UPS systems that meet specific military standards governing UPS design for reliable performance in harsh conditions.
Vehicle Mounted All-Weather UPS
Many military vehicles which have electronic systems onboard need a compact and mobile UPS to provide uninterrupted power. A simple DC UPS systems draws power from the vehicle. If the vehicle battery is discharged to a particular level, the UPS can supply power till its own battery is depleted. A different vehicle mounted UPS system also uses a DC-DC converter to regulate the output. It also provides a barrier between input and output.
ProstarM offers a range of compact UPS systems with rugged design for durability, made specially for military vehicles.
