AUTO TRANSFORMER
In an autotransformer, both windings i.e. primary and secondary are connected to each other electrically. Those are NOT ISOLATED from each other. Some part of the whole winding carries Primary & Secondary currents (Power).
An autotransformer is a tapped winding transformer that changes the voltage available locally to the voltage required by a particular load. Transfield’s Auto transformers are used to supply different Voltages to loads as Stabilizer, also used as Lighting Transformers while supplying different voltages to light fittings.
